We are beyond delighted to be welcoming the wonderful Cecilie Kløvstad as our new Managing Director of the Epinion team in Norway.
Cecilie has worked in the Norwegian market research industry for nearly 20 years. In that time she has emerged as one of the industry’s brightest and most innovative talents, excelling in her work with (among others) qualitative research, consumer analysis, branding, communications and banking. In her hugely successful career she has worked with some of Norway’s biggest companies, including TNS Gallup, Nielsen and the Norwegian Board of Film.
In this introductory blog, we’ve asked Cecilie a few questions about herself, Epinion and her vision for the company’s future in the vibrant and rapidly changing Norwegian research industry.
What inspired you to join Epinion?
I consider Epinion to be a really exciting company with so much potential. The company’s history in Denmark, from its inception 15 years ago and until today, is quite amazing. I especially like that it facilitates such a lot of tailoring and proximity to customers. I think this is absolutely crucial to being successful in analysing the world in Norway today, where there is a lot of data and many new and different collection methods.
What will you offer Epinion in your new position?
One of my strengths as a leader is to create a good working environment, and I cannot wait to embark on this journey at Epinion Norway. Both present and future workers are keen to have a good working environment with professional space and the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. If we can create this kind of working environment, I imagine that the best people will be attracted to joining us. I’m committed to making this happen through strong and good leadership.
What is your vision for Epinion Norway?
In the short-term, I look at Epinion as a company that can do very well as a small competitor among the major players. I believe that being a challenger is an advantage. We will lead the way in analysis, tailoring studies and closeness to our valued customers. We will be very flexible, dedicated and adaptable, and every customer will be treated and valued uniquely. I want us to be closer to our clients than any other analysts who work in Norway.
How do you like to relax outside of work?
I get lots of enrichment from my family life. At home I have 5 children, ranging from 3 to 23 years old. They, and my husband Olav, have definitely helped make me the person I am. Apart from that, I love the hustle and bustle of meeting people at social gatherings. But when I need time for myself, I go running in the woods, listen to music or enjoy some winter bathing to reboot.
